Step into a realm that nature sculpted over 5 to 10 million years. The WonderCave geological history begins as limestone laid down in ancient seas. Over ages, erosion and mineral-rich water formed the enormous chamber you walk into today.
Italian miners uncovered the cave in 1898, chipping away around 15 per cent of the calcite for use in toothpaste, cement, and gold‑smelting processes. Mining ceased around 1902, leaving the majority of this underground masterpiece intact.

Ranking behind only the Cango Caves and Sudwala Caves, the WonderCave claims its spot as the third-largest chamber in the country. It spans approximately 46 000 m² with dimensions of 125 m by 50 m, making it a vast subterranean space that never requires crawling.

Inside, around fourteen giant stalactites and stalagmites, some soaring 15 m high, rise from floor and ceiling ; and most still grow today. Visitors enjoy a smooth descent. First, you walk down 87 stairs at a 45° angle, dropping 22 m below ground. Then, an elevator carries you a further 18 m, bringing you to the heart of the chamber. Guided tours amplify the experience, typically lasting around 45 minutes.
